The story on the L-shaped bench
When the L-shaped bench in the photo below came to us the pattern was ½” out of square. This caused issues with putting the three molded pieces together. The first thing we did was took the whole thing apart so that we could modify it to make it square. Originally the ends of the part had very little draft. To correct this we cut both ends of the part off and replaced them so that it created the draft we were looking for. Then we reworked the whole pattern and made a new mold with a “Class A” finish. This effectively reduced the assembly time at the store and also increased the quality significantly.
